Ehh they do fire of several a minute, in fact skills like needling shot got a truly ridiculous attack speed if you are to look on it from a "realism" perspective.

No i do not think that attack speed is an issue and arenanet do not want rangers to be damage dealers as they have a tendency to be abused in ranger spikes when they reach a certain level of dps or dph. Not that there are any real good ways of preforming a ranger spike these days anyways but it would still go against arenanets philosophy. So they are devoted to offensive support, which means that then their support got to compensate for not being able to push kills or defensively support.

I would be happy if they could update how nature rituals functions to make them more desirable outside of the really outdated oathshot ranger that was used in iway.

I'd like a few tweaks of some bow skills to get the damage up, but what I'd really like to see is extending the preparation length upwards of 1 minute. There is nothing worse than having your prep expire and having to stop to recast it. Ele enchants last 1 minute so why can't a Ranger's prep last as long? When I first started playing GW I used my Ranger as a poor man's Ele as Fire Storm and Meteor Shower did so much more damage than a bow ever could with a conjure element modifier. When Factions came out we got Splinter Weapon which helped for a while. However I still find myself playing my Ranger without a bow more than with a bow; AP with a discord team, with a sword before the Ursan nerf, and now a SOS cuz spirits are really powerful. A few tweaks to get me back to playing my Ranger with a bow again would be appreciated. Forget the instant trap setting idea. Trappers are crazy popular in Zaishen Elite; imagine how overpowering they would be if they could instantly set a trap under an Ele or Necro who didn't die in the intial setting off of the trap wall.

Lower flight time and lower cast time on preparation or way higher duration on preparation would bring a lot of builds to Rangers in PvP other than Barrage.

What type of PvP? I thought in so-called "real PvP" rangers use crip shot/mel shot... (correct me if I'm wrong - I'm a PvEer)

But buffing preperation duration/cast time is still a good idea - and quite realistic since the ele attunements have been buffed.

Rangers use crip shot, magebane shot, and burning arrow. mel shot got nerfed. rangers never ever ever use barrage.

Interrupting is the primary purpose of the ranger. There is nothing saying that you can't have two classes with interrupts just as there is no restriction saying that there can't be more than 1 melee class.

Give me an official link where it says that the rangers were designed for the primary purpose of interrupting. Mesmers are better at interrupting then rangers, you don't have to like it, but it's the truth.

Sad thing cripshot got nerfed though, was the best ranger elite IMO.

Well magebane isn't bad either but to try to justify the nerf of cripshot because of making crappy mel shot attractive was a huge slap to my face by arenanet.
